Kyo-Incense
Kyo-Incense sticks are placed in a glass tube and sealed with a real cork in order to preserve the original scent.

description
This is one of the oldest and the most popular series of the Traditional Japanese incenses. Light, soft, subtle scent of Kyo-Incense will add that charming relaxed atmosphere to your room or office. Special odorless base is used for the production of these incenses; this results in crystal clear scent of the scent oil without the smell of the burning base. Kyo-Incense sticks are placed in a glass tube and sealed with a real cork in order to preserve the original scent.

The aroma oil used for these incense sticks has a story of its own: more than a decade ago a young Japanese entrepreneur, who had always been fascinated by the original Japanese culture and traditions, teamed up with his friend, professor of Chemistry, in the effort to create scents, that will be unmistakably Japanese… filled with Japanese culture and tradition...

To explain what that means, the creator of the scents talks about Japanese way to communicate with each other. The language was not the most important part of communication in old Japan: body position, gestures, movements, eye contact – all of these were the “quiet” language that could tell you much more about a person and what he or she feels, than the language itself. But this “quiet” language is not obvious; - one needs to be attentive and sensitive in order to understand it.

This concept of “quiet” communication was used as a guideline for these incenses. They do not have strong scent (which usually smells good for the first several days and later becomes annoying and unbearable and there is little you can do to make it less intense). These incenses will fill your room with a subtle warm scent that you will be enjoying again and again every time you enter the room.

Enoy these traditional Japanese scents... or give this bit of Japanese culture and traditions to someone special.

Sakura is the best   8/25/2008
Reviewed by: Tom from NJ.
These incenses are not cheap (that why the 4 star rating) but they are so good. I fist tried the sample of Sakura scent - and now it''s my favorit incense. I would put Bamboo second after Sakura.
The presentation is nice - I felt I got a gift.
